WHAT ARE WE DOING?

ACTIVITY 1. FUNDOS FORUM SALAMANCA

Red Deporte traveled to Salamanca for the screening of the documentary All the Souls, accompanied by its director, Roberto Lozano.

The event was held at Fundos Forum Salamanca, a venue that welcomed many people interested in the documentary's topic.

After the screening, attendees had the chance to talk with the director himself, who shared details about the filming process and editing, as well as his personal experience and that of his team during their stay in Nepal.

During the conversation, very relevant issues arose, including the lack of international visibility of this problem and the concerning lack of information suffered by many Nepali women about the dangers of human trafficking.

ACTIVITY 2. ESPACIO JOVEN VALLADOLID

At the Espacio Joven in Valladolid, we had the opportunity to present the documentary All the Souls, with the presence of its director Roberto Lozano.

This screening, aimed at a different audience than that of the session held in Salamanca, allowed us to generate a space for reflection and exchange of ideas on the topic of human trafficking.

During the discussion, Lozano provided an informed perspective on the consequences of human trafficking in Nepal, emphasizing the need to make this issue more visible in Global North countries.

Likewise, the importance of overcoming social barriers that perpetuate regional inequality was highlighted, promoting a collective commitment to the eradication of all forms of human rights violations.

During the month of October, we had the opportunity to conduct various theoretical-practical sessions in educational centers, focused on the issue of human trafficking, with special attention to the situation of young Nepali women.

These sessions combined a theoretical presentation with participatory activities in which students could reflect on real and everyday situations involving decision-making and its potential consequences. The main objective was to foster critical awareness, ethical reflection, and individual and collective responsibility regarding decisions that can impact one's own life and society.

During the activities, enriching debates were generated on topics such as personal safety, prostitution, and social issues associated with trafficking, promoting an understanding that, although structural changes require time and effort, each person can become an active agent of social transformation.
